Michelini llenó el Paraninfo de miradas hacia el pasado y el futuro
Una de las últimas veces en que todos se habían reunido fue en agosto del año pasado, para despedir a su madre, Elisa Dellepiane, junto a quien, dos meses antes, habían dado el primer paso para el lanzamiento de lo que ayer se concretó: la Fundación Zelmar Michelini. Los diez hijos del matrimonio se volvieron a reunir ayer en el Paraninfo de la Universidad de la República, convertida durante unas horas en la casa familiar, a través de imágenes, audios y recuerdos compartidos con centenares de amigos.
Los niños de la Escuela 113 estaban en una de las esquinas del primer palco del Paraninfo, a la izquierda si se va entrando al recinto. Destacaban por sus túnicas y moñas, pero también porque se los notaba ansiosos, más que al resto. Ese estado se percibía en sus sonrisas casi permanentes y en las miradas abarcadoras de todo lo que allí pasaba. Llegaron antes que muchos y así pudieron ver cómo las butacas de todos los niveles se fueron poblando.
Vieron llegar a las distintas personalidades, a muchas de las cuales tenían más que vistas: desde la esposa del presidente Tabaré Vázquez, María Auxiliadora, pasando por los pre candidatos José Mujica y Marcos Carámbula, varios ministros, legisladores y referentes del Partido Nacional y del Frente Amplio, y representantes de la cultura.
Ellos no los conocían, pero también estaban presentes familiares de Héctor Gutiérrez Ruiz, Rosario Barredo y William Whitelaw, nombres y apellidos trágicamente ligados para siempre con el destino de los Michelini.
Asimismo, familiares de Liber Seregni y Wilson Ferreira dijeron presente, igual que Luisa Cuesta, Macarena Gelman y Jair Krischke, entre tantos otros.
La apertura de la ceremonia estuvo a cargo de la Camerata Juvenil del Ministerio de Educación y Cultura -el cierre correspondió a la comparsa La Figari-, que interpretó tres piezas musicales, la última de las cuales fue “Pal que se va”, de Alfredo Zitarrosa.
Luego, María Inés Obaldía, encargada de conducir la jornada, valoró el hecho de qué la Udelar oficiara de anfitriona, como símbolo de la lucha contra la dictadura y del retorno a la democracia. El escenario estaba dominado por una pantalla que proyectaba imágenes de Michelini, en sus distintas facetas:
padre, periodista, político y deportista, alternándolas con testimonios de sus propios hijos, que evocaban las idas al cine, las jornadas hípicas y sus rutinas incansables en las que ellos se sentían siempre incluidos.
Su voz resonaba en el ambiente en varios discursos, cuyos extractos parecían estar seleccionados para entrar en sintonía con una frase, que desde un gran cartel con su foto y el logo de la fundación dominaba la escena: “Que nunca la tristeza se asocie a mi nombre”.
Por ejemplo, en un acto se lo escuchaba decir nuevamente que era “posible construir un nuevo Uruguay”, cuyo resultado fuera “un pueblo feliz, optimista, alegre”, y agregaba: “Ésta es una noche, por sobre todas las cosas, de paz y de esperanza”. Y aún a pesar de que la madre no pudo ver en marcha la fundación -que busca rescatar la “persona detrás del mito”-, sus hijos estaban felices.
Igual que los niños de la Escuela 113 “Zelmar Michelini”, que hacia la mitad del acto bajaron del primer piso a la espera de que fueran anunciados. El apoyo constante desde 2001 hacia la institución fue reconocido por sus autoridades, mientras los niños aguardaban que Daniel Viglietti, en nombre de Mario Benedetti (uno de los integrantes del Comité de Honor de la fundación), recibiera una carpeta
con dibujos que habían hecho en base a su poema “Botella al mar”: “Pongo estos seis versos en mi botella al mar / con el secreto designio de que algún día / llegue a una playa casi desierta / y un niño la encuentre y la destape / y en lugar de versos extraiga piedritas / y socorros y alertas y caracoles”. ¦
